Huey on Koalas (Day 111)

This is Huey’s first blog post! We were in Australia, and Huey chose to write about koalas. Ashley read him different facts, and he picked what he wanted to write. Ashley helped with spelling. A big research project for a 5-year old!

Did you know that eucalyptus leaves are poisonous but koalas eat them? Koalas are very picky about the type of leaves…

… they eat. The leaves don’t give the koala much energy so they sleep 20 hours a day. A koala does not have pouch in the front.

It actually has it in the back. A baby koala is called a joey.
